Roscoe Elementary serves approximately 337 students in grades Pre-K through 5.
Roscoe Elementary prepares students emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically in an atmosphere that includes school, family, students, and community. We provide a safe and secure environment for learning. We strive to enhance self-esteem, promote responsible behavior and teach respect for self and others. We strive to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses, and encourage high level thinking skills.
The school day begins at 7:55 AM for students who do not need accelerated instruction. The school day for students who need accelerated instruction will begin at 7:30. Parents will be notified by the school if their student is in need of accelerated instruction. Any student who has not entered the building by 7:55 will be counted tardy. Any student in need of accelerated instruction who is not in the classroom by 7:30 will be counted tardy. Three tardies will be considered an unexcused absence. Students in grades 1-6 will be released at 3:55 Monday – Thursday and at 3:10 on Fridays. Three-year-old Pre-K will be released at 11:10 Monday-Friday. Four-year-old Pre-K and Kindergarten will be released at 2:50 Monday-Friday. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:20 to 7:45 AM.
