Roscoe Collegiate Superintendent’s Message
Welcome to Roscoe Collegiate Independent School District. At RCISD, our number one
priority is the safety of our people and student achievement. RCISD has created a rich
environment for our students to excel. We are an innovative school district that pushes
the boundaries in order to meet the needs of all our students.
RCISD Board of Trustees is laser focused on student outcomes. The RCISD Board has
set academic goals for our students and staff. Our staff diligently work to continue the
academic progress of students regardless of circumstance, background, and/or
obstacles. Student achievement is the measure of success!!
RCISD is proud to welcome all students. RCISD is a highly diverse population with a
large number of students transferring into RCISD. We strive to provide our student
body with a safe nurturing environment but also offer a world-class education.
RCISD students meet the high expectation of a rigorous curriculum at all levels. Our
students are exposed to research projects starting at the third grade. At the secondary
school, many of our students begin to take collegiate level courses at the ninth grade.
Most of our graduates, graduate with an associates degree by end of their senior year.
Additionally, our students enjoy innovative Career Technical Education classes. Our
students choose a vocation of their choice and graduate with Industry-Based
Certifications. To name a few of our programs, our students may explore our Drone
Program, Veterinary Program, Bovine Reproductive and Invitro Fertilization Program,
Business Program, Welding Program, and more.
When our students graduate after their senior year, our students/families have the
option to remain with RCISD in grades 13 and 14; also known as our P-Tech Program.
Our students have the option to continue with RCISD for an additional two years to
ascertain their Bachelor’s Degree by grade 14. RCISD has set up partnerships with
regional colleges, universities, and technical schools. If a student/family chooses to
remain with RCISD for grades 13 and 14, RCISD will pay for the student’s tuition at the
post-secondary institution.
RCISD additionally has an online component. RCISD has partnered with STRIDE/K12
for our Lone Star Online Academy. Our partnership supports students across the State
of Texas to provide families and option for public education.
Once again welcome to RCISD where we are dedicated, innovative, and always push the
boundaries for the betterment of our kids!!!
Gracias,
Guillermo Mancha, Jr,. Ed. D.
